These programmes are entitled by the UGC-Distance Education Bureau and are delivered entirely through the Online Learning (OL) mode.

| Programmes Offered and Capacity : CDOE offers two-year (4-semester) Master’s degrees in several disciplines: Master of Arts (Economics): 80 Credits Required (Unlimited Seats). Master of Arts (History): 80 Credits Required (Unlimited Seats). Master of Arts (Political Science): 80 Credits Required (Unlimited Seats). Master of Business Administration (MBA): 80 Credits Required (500 Seats). Master of Computer Applications (MCA): 80 Credits Required (200 Seats). | |||||||||
| Eligibility and Selection Criteria : Admissions are processed based on the following standards: M.A. Programmes (Economics, History, Political Science) : Candidates must hold a three-year Bachelor’s degree (minimum 120 credits) from a recognized university. Selection is strictly on a First-Come, First-Served basis MBA Programme : Requires a three-year Bachelor’s degree (minimum 120 credits) Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination, with seat reservations applied as per Government of India rules. MCA Programme : Applicants must have a BCA, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics at the 10+2 or Graduation level. Note that students without a computer science background or PGDCA will be required to complete a 4-credit Bridge Course in the first semester. | Application Process and Fees : Interested candidates must apply exclusively through the SAMARTH Portal (https://cuhimachalcdoeadm.samarth.edu.in) Please note that no hard copies of the prospectus or application forms will be provided. Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000 is required at the time of application. This includes the university application, registration, and admission fees. International Students: Foreign nationals, NRIs, and international students must pay double the prescribed fee calculated in US Dollars based on the conversion rate on the day of admission. This one-time charge covers the university application, registration/enrolment, and admission fees. I don’t have a background in Computer Science; can I still apply for the MCA? Yes! If you have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics at the 10+2 or Graduation level, you are eligible. You will just need to complete a 4-credit Bridge Course during your first semester. Are there seats reserved for specific categories? Yes, for the MBA and MCA programmes, seat reservations are applied according to Government of India (GoI) rules. How do I access the study materials? The university provides electronic Learning Management (e-LM) materials. Fees for study materials and online resources are included in the annual and semester fee structures.
